Mountain biking on the alpine pastures in the Kalkalpen National Park

Regardless of whether you are a beginner or a professional, the Kalkalpen National Park mountain bike region with its extensive network of routes offers a wide range of great tours for every biker.

More than 800 km of signposted cycle and mountain bike trails, from family-friendly to competition-proven, are available for eventful bike days in the Ennstal and Steyrtal National Park region. Numerous alpine pastures and huts in and around the Kalkalpen National Park are ideal starting points and refreshment stops for numerous mountain bike tours. Our mountain bike tips

Ebenforstalm from Molln/Bodinggraben 16.50 km 650 m

Directions

The tour can be started directly from our house (approx. 18 km easy rolling).

Scheiblingau car park - Messerer Haus junction - approx. 8.5 km uphill to the hiking trail junction - short sliding distance. Route characteristics: Classic bike with a wonderful view of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and Sengsengebirge.

Road : gravel.

Combination options : Round tours over Reichraming and Gaißhanslniedern or Hohe Dirn and Pfaffenboden. Connection via Hintergebirgsradweg to Anlaufalm or Mooshöhe.

Grünburger Hütte or Schobesteinhaus 24.20 km 675 m

Directions

The tour starts right at our house and leads through the Gstadt district to the Dorngraben junction on the street. Turn right here & nbsp; into the forest road in the Dorngraben (No. 21). From there it goes steadily uphill to Pfaffenboden (1,032 m). Here you turn left onto forest road no. 483, on which you finally reach the Grünburger hut at 1080 m.

For the variant to the Schobersteinhaus you have to drive approx. 4 km (one way) and 150 m more.

Road : asphalt, gravel.

Combination options : Round trips via Trattenbach and Gaißhanslniedern or Hohe Dirn and Hausbach back to Molln.
